Reading and writing are the microskills of literacy. Storytelling develops the all-important macroskills of listening, concentrating, remembering, predicting language patterns and most importantly ... imagining!
With the modern phenomenon of electronic entertainment, Storytelling is a refreshing return to an ancient tradition. An exciting energy is created by group participants, connecting and interacting with each other and with the Storyteller.
LillyPilly Storyteller has extensive library experience and tailors presentations to suit the age group, venue and occasion. Her presentations are lively and enthusiastic, highly visual and interactive, with magical music and tactile props and puppets.
As well as training in the macroskills of literacy, participants may partake in the following modules:
